I think I first discovered Alvvays just before or around the time that their second album, Antisocialites, came out. After ravenously consuming their debut album, I was happy to have more material to dive into; as the band expanded their repertoire, my love for them also grow by approximately 10 tracks.
While their second album is very good, I find myself often jumping back to 2014 and listening to their self-titled debut Alvvays. Track number two, Archie, Marry Me, seems like an obvious choice to cover given its popularity and I think that’s why I love it so much - a catchy chorus, whip-smart lyrics, and no complicated rearrangements required.
